Dog Walking in Redcar - Errington Wood
The following is a little snippet for those outside the area describing why Errington Wood is a great option when dog walking in Redcar. Please feel free to leave your stories about dog walking in Errington wood below, or send in your dog walking pictures to our Facebook page. Errington Wood is on the Northern face of the hillside above the village of New Marske, and is easily accessible from Redcar, Guisborough and Saltburn. It is named after the Errington family, the original landowners, who, in 1773 planted the area with trees as a cash crop.![]() Map of Errington Wood's Walks ![]() |
Dog Walking In Redcar - Redcar Beach
For those outside of the area we thought we could share this little snippet to help inform and show why dog walking in Redcar is always a great choice. We would love it if you could share your walking stories below, or feel free to send in some pictures of your dogs walking in Redcar to our Facebook page. ![]() The sand beach at Redcar stretches approximately eight miles from south-east to north-west. In the north-west the beach runs past Coatham to South Gare breakwater at the mouth of the River Tees. To the south-east the sand beach is bordered by the Stray from Redcar's Zetland Park to Marske-by-the-Sea and then continues on to Saltburn. The Stray is a 2-mile (3 km) long public open strip of coastal grassland situated between the beach and the A1085 road characterised by a series of howles (small chines) leading from the grassland to the beach. The Redcar coastline is a prime location for finding fossils of Gryphaea also known as devil's toenails. The main pedestrianised shopping area is based on and around High Street and runs parallel to the sea front's Esplanade. Amusement arcades have existed at Redcar since the building of the Redcar Pier in 1873, and today the arcades are to be found along the Esplanade. The only cinema in Redcar is the Regent on the sea front in the Coatham area of Redcar. |

Now I know it's a big undertaking, but our clients have never let us down yet, and I'm sure they won't this time either. |
